Success continues for accountancy firm
A Shropshire accountancy firm is celebrating after being re-accredited as an Investor in Excellence - for the third time.
Dyke Yaxley, of Old Potts Way in Shrewsbury, received the award at a black-tie ceremony in Birmingham's International Convention Centre.
Managing Director Helen Thomas, and Keith Higgins, Human Resources Development Manager, collected the accreditation certificate from Olympic gold medal-winning rower and TV endurance challenge star James Cracknell.
"Last year we won the Midlands Excellence Firm of the Year award which was a real high point for us, and to be re-accredited again this year we needed to maintain extremely high standards.
"So to have matched the standard we set last year over the subsequent 12 months is incredibly satisfying," said Mrs Thomas.
Dyke Yaxley was one of only 11 organisations in the Midlands to have been re-accredited with the award, which measures a firm's progress in nine key business areas including leadership, managing people, and satisfying customers.
Teams of expert assessors from Midlands Excellence evaluate the submissions and provide valuable feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Mrs Thomas added: "Recognition like this on a high profile stage is a major boost to the business on a number of levels. It is a morale boost to our staff and reward for their efforts, and achieves one of our major goals of staying one step ahead of the competition."
Dyke Yaxley, which employs 84 people delivering a range of business services from accountancy and payroll to IT support, is also a former winner of the West Midlands Regional Accountancy Firm of the Year title.
It is one of only two accountancy companies in the Midlands to achieve the Investors in Excellence standard, and has been accredited as an Investor in People for the past 14 years.
