HMRC bans credit card tax payments from January 13

Jan 3, 2018 | Uncategorized

Individual taxpayers need to be aware that HMRC will NO LONGER be accepting payments from personal credit cards after 13 January 2018.

This may unexpectedly catch out some Self-Assessment taxpayers who have been waiting until closer to 31 January 2018 to make their tax payment.

If you are intending to make your tax payment by personal credit card then you will need to do so BEFORE 13 January; corporate, business and commercial credit cards are not affected and debit card payments will continue to be accepted.

Please speak to your Dyke Yaxley contact if you have any questions about how to go about making your Self-Assessment tax payment.
