Support adds up for motor expert

Local engineer, Ben Kaye's business, Explorer Vehicle Engineering, which is based in Weston Lulllingfields has now gone from strength-to-strength thanks to the help of the Dyke Yaxley team.   Our Client Tax Manager, Ian Middleton helped Ben to secure a grant from the Shropshire Business Enterprise Fund which he used to buy new hi-tech diagnostic equipment.

And now, thanks to our support, Ben is travelling all over the county offering a quality maintenance and repair service to owners and operators of all models of Land Rover vehicles.

Ben said "In just two years I have successfully established my business, and I'm now working directly with private owners and with independent garages."

"Without such great support from Ian and the team at Dyke Yaxley, I would never have been able to raise the money to buy my equipment, and I really am very grateful to them for all their help"

The Shropshire Business Enterprise Fund is run by Shropshire Council, and provides grants to businesses who are finding it difficult to secure funding from banks and other lending institutions.

The grants are aimed at businesses that have been trading for between 9 and 36 months, with capital gains of up to £5,000 available, to provide a maximum contribution of 50% towards eligible costs.

Ian said "We've been extremely impressed with Ben's commitment to his business and his success is testimony to all the hard work he's put in.  We are very pleased to have played a small role in helping him on his way and look forward to continuing to work together in the future."
