Dyke Yaxley was put forward to be our accountants by our relationship director at HSBC.  The service that we were getting from our previous accountant was limited to just end of year accounts.  Fortunately for us at Hazlin, our previous accountant gave us 3 weeks' notice that he was going to retire, and put forward a different accountancy practice.

Mark Bramall and his team came in, sorted out the issues that our previous accountant had left.  Organised cash flow forecasts, analysed our previous year and put forward recommendations, then produced an R&D tax credits claim (that our previous accountant didn't think we were entitled to). He has produced a further cash flow forecast to support us through the pandemic so far. 

His team are able to come online and go through our Sage software.  End of year figures have been produced quickly and professionally.

Working with Dyke Yaxley has been a very professional experience and we have only been with them 9 months.

After several years of 'pondering' on changing accountants, we finally met the team at Dyke Yaxley which originated from some of their dynamic advertising.

During our initial interview period, unknown to them, we were also recommended by a client of theirs.

We were impressed with their speed on getting back to us and decided to go for their Bronze package.  This has allowed us to meet and review our accounting and reporting.  Over the last few months, they have completely restructured our companies, by placing a group company and numerous subsidiaries.  This involved a considerable amount of work, liaising with HMRC etc and the associated paper trail was tremendous.  This was completed in a timely and efficient manner.

As a business we have been working with Dyke Yaxley since 2008, taking up a variety of services throughout that time including bookkeeping, management accounts, cash flow planning and all compliance needs.  As we have had clear objectives for our business, we have worked with Dyke Yaxley and their advisors to review our progress through monthly updates and quarterly meetings.  The regular reviews provide an opportunity to discuss a wider range of commercial issues then you may expect and they provide challenge to us in terms of how we grow the business.

In 2018 we moved onto a fixed fee annual contract which provided a clear structure of work and support that we could expect for a known monthly fee.  This has helped us keep momentum on our business journey. 

An extension of the advice that Dyke Yaxley can provide came in 2019 when we sought further investment through our bank and an equity investment; they assisted with all of the financial aspects in connection with both, and we are now striving forward on the next stage of our journey.

Mark Bramall and Sarah Hartshorn were our Accountants for the sale of our business last year.  The process for the sale began in June 2019 and was successfully completed in August 2019.

From the outset in our dealings with Mark and Sarah, they were friendly, helpful and explained the whole due diligence process to us in a way that was easy to understand, yet very thorough.  They ensured that all the financial information required by our purchasers was formatted and modified in a way that they required, which often involved the same informtion being presented in numerous different ways.
