IT team are on the ball

Staff from Shrewsbury IT team were certainly on the ball when it came to their last contract.

The team from Dyke Yaxley, in Old Potts Way, have been working with the League Managers’ Association to install IT equipment at the organisation’s new home, St George’s Park – the Football Association’s National Football Centre in Burton-On-Trent.

The LMA represents managers working in professional football, and the association has relocated to the new centre from its previous base in Leamington Spa.

Dyke Yaxley’s IT director, Adrian Key, said: “We supplied and installed a range of equipment for the LMA’s 20 strong-strong team, including laptops and docking stations.

“We also had the challenge of working with the FA’s IT team to ensure the new computer systems were compatible with their own IT system, in particular ensuring all their security policies were followed.

“The contract demanded two weeks of round-the-clock working to ensure the installation was up and running ready for the official opening at St George’s Park.

“But we completed all our work in good time for the celebrations, and it was a pleasure to be involved in such a high profile contract.”

Dyke Yaxley has delivered IT services to the LMA for the past five years, and the company also acts as accountants for the organisation.

Richard Bevan, for the LMA, said: “We have worked closely with the IT team at Dyke Yaxley over recent years and they always do a great job for us, both in terms of planning ahead for our ever-evolving IT needs and in reacting quickly to our day-to-day challenges.”
