New roles for senior staff

May 31, 2016 | Uncategorized

Two of our senior staff have been promoted as a direct result of their commitment and dedication to Dyke Yaxley.  Tony Elliott has been named as Tax Director and Stacey Lea is the new Associate Director and their new roles came into effect at the beginning of May.

Managing Director Laurie Riley said: “We’re always encouraging our staff to continuously develop their skills, and it’s important to us that we recognise talent across the company and reward our staff accordingly.

“Tony will be an excellent addition to the Board and we’re very happy to welcome Stacey to the Management Team too.

“Dyke Yaxley is committed to developing a strong and effective team, and by promoting staff who have worked within the company to roles of greater responsibility, we believe we can strengthen the already impressive presence we have in the local business world.”

Tony joined the Dyke Yaxley Team as a Senior Tax Planner after deciding on a complete career change at the age of 40.  He owned and managed a business in Shropshire for 18 years, before completing a degree and qualifying as a Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser.

In his new role, Tony will continue to focus on the availability of research and development tax relief for businesses across the region.

“Research and development tax relief is often overlooked by companies during their tax planning – you don’t need people in white coats in a laboratory to qualify, you just need to be looking to achieve an advancement in science or technoloy which many manufacturing businesses actually do without realising it.”

Stacey originally began her accoutancy career with Dyke Yaxley but moved away as her husband was in the armed forces.  After rejoining the company, she was appointed as Corporate Manager following an internal restructure.

She’s originally from Wem and was delighted to be able to return to her roots and live and work in the county just a few miles from where she grew up.  Stacey has been closely involved in developing customer strategies, and her new role will give her even more opportunities to help shape the future of the business.
