About the Role
You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing high-quality accounting and business support to a wide range of Agri-Business clients. This varied role offers excellent opportunities to build your technical knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a specialist sector at the heart of our rural economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end and management accounts
- Processing financial records and bookkeeping for a range of clients
- Managing a portfolio of VAT returns, preparing VAT returns ahead of deadlines and supporting compliance work
- Liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information
- Working closely with the Agri-Business Directors and Managers with ad hoc projects and client queries
- Support and mentoring junior staff on an ad hoc basis with support from the Managers
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified or studying towards AAT or similar
- Confident, detail focused and well organised
- A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
- Enthusiastic about developing a career in accountancy and the Agri-Business industry
This is a permanent position and will be based from our Shrewsbury Office, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). Previous experience in an accountancy practice is required however knowledge of the Agri-Business industry would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
