We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our specialist Agricultural Team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with farming and rural business clients, ensuring accurate financial records and providing tailored bookkeeping support.
As part of our team, you’ll assist with accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and VAT returns, while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to the department’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of accounts and financial reports.
- Enter data from prime records, carry out reconciliations, and perform month-end and year-end procedures.
- Process and maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, managing correspondence and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
- Provide advice on computerised accounts and bookkeeping systems.
Requirements:
- Level 4 AAT qualified.
- Strong background in accounting and bookkeeping (experience within the agricultural sector is highly desirable).
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
