Audit Client Manager

 

Location: Shrewsbury (Flexible working available, subject to discussion)

Reporting to: Audit Manager


About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Audit Client Manager to join our Audit team based in Shrewsbury. This is a great opportunity for a motivated audit professional who enjoys managing client relationships, leading audit assignments, and supporting the development of junior team members.

In this role, you’ll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors, working closely with Partners and acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring a consistently high standard of service
  • Plan, lead, and review audit assignments from start to completion
  • Ensure all work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory auditing standards
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, attending meetings pre- and post-audit
  • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit seniors and trainees
  • Liaise with Partners on technical matters, deadlines, and client requirements
  • Identify opportunities to add value for clients and support business development
  • Ensure compliance with auditing standards, ethical requirements, and internal procedures
  • Deliver agreed KPIs in line with expectations set by the Audit Manager


About You

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar audit role within an accountancy practice
  • Strong audit background with proven experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
  • Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively
  • Experience supervising and developing junior team members
  • Proactive approach to personal training and professional development
