About the Role

We’re looking for an Audit Senior to join our friendly and professional Audit team based in Shrewsbury. This is a great opportunity for a recently qualified or newly qualified audit professional who’s ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and well-established accountancy practice.

You’ll work closely with Audit Managers and Directors, taking responsibility for your role within audit assignments and building strong relationships with clients. The role offers clear progression and the chance to develop your technical skills while gaining greater exposure to leading audit work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Audit Client Manager in delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory auditing standards
  • Take the lead on certain audit assignments as part of your development
  • Identify and highlight any issues arising during the audit process to Managers
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the audit team
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong and professional working relationships
  • Support Directors and Managers with ad hoc projects as required

About You

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice, with a strong audit background
  • Confident taking the lead on audits and dealing directly with clients
  • Strong technical knowledge with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, professional, and committed to ongoing development
