Recruiting Beyond Borders

Apr 8, 2025 | DY News

We’re excited to expand our global team with the addition of Zani Oosthuizen, who joins us all the way from South Africa. At DY, we’re always on the lookout for top talent, and Zani marks our third international recruit, further extending our reach beyond borders.

Natasha Fox, our People and Culture Lead, said:

“With technology becoming ever more sophisticated, the world really is a smaller place and we’re delighted to be making the most of the opportunities the digital world offers.”

Zani Oosthuizen works as an Audit Senior, responsible for remote audits. She’ll also take part in our mentoring scheme supporting junior auditors and trainees.

Natasha said:

“Zani was a referral through our colleague Fran Holtzhausen, who works in our audit department and is also based in South Africa. Zani submitted her CV through Fran, and after two stages of interviews, we knew very quickly that she would be a great fit for our team.

“To help with the process, Fran actually invited Zani to move in with her to help her set up and begin her initial training, which has been super helpful and she has gone above and beyond to help Zani settle in.”

Zani said her initial interest in the role came from a chat with Fran about how much she enjoyed working for DY, and the incredible flexibility of the arrangement, particularly as a working mum.

“I am excited about having all the benefits and flexibility of working remotely, while still being connected to a supportive network of colleagues. I was immediately drawn to the company culture at DY, and I can still experience that despite being on a different continent,” she said.

“The company has been incredibly supportive in ensuring my home set-up is workable and that I have the resources available online to be technically and emotionally equipped. I’ve had regular check-ins with colleagues from various departments and the role has already had such a positive impact on my work-life balance. I’m delighted with my new position.”

Natasha said:

“Currently, we’re not looking for anyone else to join the audit team from abroad, but thanks to the success we’ve had with Fran, Zani and another former employee who was based in Australia, we wouldn’t rule it out.

“If we can make it work for the business and our employees, we’re very open-minded, especially in such a competitive market. It’s important to think outside the box and we’re very happy to explore alternative recruitment strategies.”
