Professional Background:

Helen joined Dyke Yaxley in 1982 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. She then commenced studies with the Institute of Taxation and became a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1984. Because of her specialisation in the Charity and Not-for-profit Sector, Helen also gained a Diploma in Charity Accounting in 2010

In 2005 Helen was appointed as the Managing Director of Dyke Yaxley before handing over the company’s leadership to Laurie Riley in 2012.


Now working as a Consultant, Helen’s client work involves providing advice to owner-managed businesses and high net-worth individuals, with particular regard to tax planning, including trusts and inheritance tax.

Helen's favourite hobbies include travelling, going to the cinema and dog-sitting her daughter's Jack Russell-Cross Pug, Ray.

If Helen wasn’t working at Dyke Yaxley, she would enjoy working as a Hydrologist.

The best place Helen’s ever visited is Machu Picchu, Peru.

Helen’s biggest inspiration is her father, who she describes as always having faith in her.

Helen’s greatest achievement is climbing to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
