Yesterday, Team DY took part in the highly competitive Higgs LLP Charity Six a Side Football Tournament in Stourbridge, playing in support of The Mary Stevens Hospice, Higgs’ Charity of the Year.
Out of an impressive 72 teams and over 250 professionals and business owners from across the West Midlands, Team DY made a fantastic run to the Quarter Finals. They remained unbeaten in regular time throughout the tournament, recording 4 wins and 4 draws, while conceding just one goal. Their campaign ended in a nail biting sudden death penalty shootout against Aon.
We are proud to have finished in the top 8 and grateful to Higgs LLP for organising such a well run and enjoyable event. A big thank you to everyone involved for supporting such a great cause.
Team DY are already looking forward to next year’s tournament, hoping to bring the trophy home!
