The Buddy Bag Foundation
Restoring a sense of safety and security into a child’s life during a traumatic time is one of the first steps to recovery. By providing these children with a few essential items, our mission is to help make the transition into emergency care a little easier.
Shrewsbury Food Hub
Shrewsbury Food Hub is a volunteer-powered charity that stops food waste to protect the environment and strengthen our community in Shrewsbury. They collect surplus food from shops, manufacturers and farms and share it with community groups, saving them money.
They promote food waste reduction at home, where most waste happens.
“Every year we ask our staff to nominate charities that mean something to them, which is then followed by a vote, with the two most popular becoming our charities for the year.
Last year we were fundraising for Lingen Davies Cancer Fund and Shropshire MHS and raised just under £3,000, so our target for this year is to beat that total.
Our CSR team are now busy working on new fundraising ideas for our two new charities to run through the year, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with.”

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund
Their focus is on improving cancer prevention and early detection, supporting excellent cancer treatment locally and supporting people living with and beyond cancer.
Shropshire MHS
They provide a wide range of quality services across the county for the one in four people and their families, who are affected by mental and emotional distress.
