Ian Brander

Professional background:

Ian joined Dyke Yaxley in 2006 as an Apprentice, and in the same year became a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.  He now splits his time working between both our UK and US offices.

Ian’s knowledge of personal and corporate transatlantic taxation issues have proven to be invaluable and has worked with a wide range of clients belonging to various sectors including Manufacturing, Retail and Agriculture. Ian spent 4 years specialising in agriculture before taking on his current role, focusing on complex international issues. 

Ian particularly enjoys the variety of tax work he does and splitting his time between Dyke Yaxley’s UK and US offices, as it helps keep things varied.

Ian passed his ATT examinations and became fully qualified in 2015.  He also became a Fellow Member of the AAT.


Ian's responsibilities include computing complex multi-country residency calculations, business and personal UK and US tax returns and updating clients on recent streamlined filing procedures.

Ian outside of work

Ian's favourite hobbies include playing squash, rock climbing and golf.

Growing up, Ian always wanted to become a Doctor.

If Ian wasn’t working at Dyke Yaxley, he would enjoy a career path related to science.

Ian’s favourite holiday destination is Corfu, Greece.

Ian supports Aston Villa Football Club.
