Lauren Gorman

Trainee Audit and Accounts clerk

Professional background:

Lauren joined Dyke Yaxley in 2015 as a Payroll Administrator, having previously worked for a number of large public sector organisations.

Lauren has since gained experience working alongside the Tax team drafting and preparing R&D technical reports to support claims for enhanced tax relief, and preparing personal tax returns. She later transferred to the Corporate department as a Trainee Audit and Accounts Clerk in 2019.

She is currently studying towards her ACCA qualification.

Responsibilities:

Lauren is responsible for the preparation of accounts, tax returns and filling CT600 forms, working arcoss a wide range of clients.

Lauren outside of work

Lauren's  favourite hobbies include going on walks, running, travelling and rowing - having previously won a local regatta.

Growing up, Lauren always wanted to be an Artist.

Lauren describes her family as her biggest inspiration.

Lauren considers New Zealand to be the best place she’s ever visited.

Lauren’s greatest achievement is completing her Business HNC whilst working full time, which gave her the confidence to study towards her ACCA.

Lauren’s favourite part of working for Dyke Yaxley are the people, and describes the company as being very supportive whilst she is studying towards her ACCA.

Lauren makes a fantastic effort to join in with our fundraising activities and was awarded the show stopper prize at our charity cake sale after she wowed the judge with her ‘burger cake’. Read more about it here.
