Good news or bad news?

Will Chancellor George Osborne’s pre-election Budget bring good news for Shropshire businesses?

That’s the question which Dyke Yaxley will tackle at a special Budget Briefing and Tax Update, being held at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn.

The Chancellor will stand up to deliver his budget on Wednesday March 18, and Dyke Yaxley’s event is being held at 8am the following morning, on Thursday March 19.

Tony Elliott and Pam Mason, from Dyke Yaxley’s tax planning team, will present a detailed analysis of Mr Osborne’s speech, and answer questions from local companies.

The event, which includes breakfast, tea and coffee, will run from 8am to 10am in Theatre Severn’s Haydn Smith Room.

Tony said: “With the General Election just weeks away, you can be sure that the Chancellor will be looking to deliver some headline-grabbing policies.

“The purpose of the briefing is to give our take on the Chancellor’s announcements, and outline the key implications for local people, and their businesses.”

Pam added: “It has already been suggested that the Budget will include tough new measures to tackle tax evasion in the wake of the HSBC scandal.

“But with deficit reduction still at the centre of every political party’s thoughts right now, any giveaways are bound to leave a mixture of winners, and losers.”

Places at the Dyke Yaxley Budget Briefing are free, but strictly limited.
